Our Day in Phoenix

Sunday was spent driving the 2 hours back down to Phoenix, where we met with my online pals (who are not child molesters, unlike many people's online friends) but rather, beagle owners who I've been emailing for almost 2 years.

This is Jaymie, with her pal, Relish. Relish is a real sweetheart.

This is Deb, mom to Roma, who is the tallest beagle I've ever seen.

Left to Right: Jaymie, Tiffany (mom of Que, who was at home in Washington D.C.), Deb and me. Front row is Roma, then Relish.

Same group as the previous photo, though the dogs have shifted positions. I had to lighten this one so the fabulous Tiffany would show up at all!

Andrea and Relish hit it off right away!

We were lucky, Deb, Tiffany and Jaymie had time to head to the dog park with us. This was where we were to meet Rainie Roo. This fine puppy is Rainie's sister, Valentine.

Look! It's me and Rainie! She was so stoked about all the other dogs there, it took her a while to notice me, but once she did, it was love for both of us.

Me, Rainie and some other bassets.

Me, with Shannon, the wonderful woman who had Rainie for the last month before we got her. Shannon housebroke her (she now pees on command, it's very cool!) and got her used to being in a crate.

I wasn't kidding, there were basset hounds there.

The puppies take a rest from all the activity.

Rainie's silly sister, Valentine, hiding in the shade.

The star of our show: Rainie Roo!.

Left to Right: Rainie Roo, her sister, Valentine, and brother Rocky Roo.

Rainie playing with Valentine. She does this with Zeus now.

Valentine and Rocky head back to their foster home as we take Rainie on her journey to San Jose.

The last day of our trip, Andrea and I took off early for Phoenix, where we met up with some of my Beagle Buddies and picked up our newest arrival, Rainie Roo the basset hound.
